The January 1, 2018 release of URAC’s Core Standards v4.0 represents a major revision to the standards, which will roll out across accreditation programs throughout the year. All organizations that will undergo reaccreditation for an accreditation program that requires the Core standards, as well as new applicants, are encouraged to attend this workshop.
Core Standards are basic standards with which most URAC-accredited entities must comply. These standards, which serve as a common foundation for many of URAC's accreditation programs, address several key organizational management functions that are important for any healthcare organization. All companies accredited under programs that include Core will need to meet the basic requirements of the Core standards, as well as the function-specific requirements for the particular accreditation program. Also, the Organizational Management Certification program standards are derived from the Core Accreditation standards.
