Through its Antenatal and Neonatal Guidelines, Education and Learning System (ANGELS) telehealth program, the University of Arkansas for Medical Science has been able to reach medically underserved communities and drastically reduce infant mortality rates in the state. The program was innovative when it began in 2002, and it continues to be a proven success in achieving its objectives. Dr. Lowery presents best practices from this program, which is a model for other specialties and states to learn from.
