Description
URAC released v4.0 of our Specialty Pharmacy and Mail Service Pharmacy Accreditation Program standards in the fall of 2019. This two-day workshop was the first opportunity for a live, deep dive into the revised standards. Our pharmacy reviewers presented detailed information about the accreditation standards and the requirements needed to meet them during the Desktop Review, Validation Review and ongoing as an accredited pharmacy. URAC highlighted the differences between the previous program standards and the new v4.0. We also explained the accreditation process and scoring methodology and leave lots of time for all of your questions.
At the conclusion of this knowledge-based activity, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the basic components of URAC’s Specialty Pharmacy/Mail Service Pharmacy standards and what is needed to meet their intent.
- Identify the documentation needed to submit a complete application for desktop review.
- Describe the scoring weights of the standards.
- Describe examples of how organization can demonstrate compliance to the Pharm Core and Specialty Pharmacy/Mail Service Pharmacy Standards.
This two-day workshop is ideal for those considering accreditation, first-time applicants as well as for companies undergoing re-accreditation to provide a review of the current standards.
Bonus: Stick around at the end for an overview of URAC’s newest pharmacy programs – Medicare Home Infusion Therapy Supplier Accreditation and Infusion Pharmacy Accreditation.
