About Your Speakers
Eleni Theodoropoulos, CPHIMS, Vice President of Quality, Research & Measurement Ms. Theodoropoulos is responsible for conceptualizing and implementing URAC’s strategy for quality, research and measurement. With over 14 years in healthcare and 19 years in information technology, she recognizes the challenges associated with measurement, technology, and the impact to healthcare consumers. She has been recognized as a healthcare leader by being selected for various technical expert panels and as a reviewer for various national conferences. In previous healthcare and technology roles, she has led or participated in various healthcare projects that have led to multiple standardized system and process improvements, performance excellence, and unbudgeted revenue streams.
Mary Beth Kiser, MPH, Kiser Healthcare Solutions Mary Beth is a co-founder and principal consultant at Kiser Healthcare Solutions, LLC, (KHS) where she applies her experience with quality measurement, program development and implementation, and stakeholder engagement for industry clients seeking to improve the quality and value of healthcare.
Prior to KHS, Mary Beth worked at Booz Allen Hamilton and provided general and strategic consulting services to several government and private sector entities on a variety of initiatives involving quality measures and reporting, meaningful use of health IT, and payment reform. She supported the development and implementation of several CMS programs (e.g., Quality Rating System for Health Insurance Marketplaces, State-based Health Insurance Marketplace Approval and Oversight, Medicare Part C & D Data Validation), which involved defining and communicating requirements, stakeholder engagement and technical assistance, and collaboration with several CMS groups, state agencies, and other industry stakeholders. Mary Beth also provided strategic support to private sector clients seeking to build or refine their quality measurement products based on legislative provisions in HITECH and the Affordable Care Act.
Prior to that and while at NCQA, Mary Beth managed the implementation of Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) quality measures, which entailed collaboration with health plans, auditors, vendors, and other industry stakeholders to effectively specify the measures and data collection procedures, and providing technical assistance to stakeholders.
Mary Beth received a BS in Health Services Administration from James Madison University and an MPH with a concentration in Health Policy from The George Washington University.
